“Les Brasseurs de Castigno”: Château & Village Castigno opens its own brewery!

Out wafts the delicious aroma of hot malt! Opposite the church in Assignan, the Castigno brewery is the new place to sit back and indulge your senses. On the agenda: good times a go-go from 11 am to 11 pm, with one eye on the brewing room and the other on the menu. And on the menu, a permanent range of 4 beers brewed in a Belgian style that will have you smacking your lips in anticipation. Starting with the traditional “Pintje,” a light lager with citrus notes and a lingering head. Unless you prefer the “Divin,” an almost coppery lager brewed with a caramel of grapes from the Castigno vineyards. Lovers of tasting beers will also want to sample the “Locale,” aged in barrels, which conceals a hint of woodiness behind its orange tones. Completing the range is the “Divine XL,” a generous and round triple, with tertiary aromas of wood and leather, highlighted by 3 to 6 months of ageing in barrels. Accompanying these craft beers, is an array of tasty nibbles , cheese ,charcuterie boards an Belgium specialities.

More than a microbrewery, Les Brasseurs de Castigno is a fun place to be experienced:

• Beer Safari: beer-tourism escapade in a 4x4 through the estate of Castigno with a visit to the brewery, followed by a tasting of our craft beers. Duration: 2 to 2½ hours.
• Introduction to beer: an in-depth tasting workshop to learn all about beer: its history, production, styles and the top food and beer pairings. Duration: 2 hours.
• Tasting: guided tasting of our range of craft beers. Duration 45 minutes.
